— The Piece
Exploring the messy side effects of dating in a technological world, my Folly piece asked the important questions: Can I use Excel to flirt? Why are there so many heartbreak playlists out there? - and what's up with Wellington wind?
— The Writing Challenge
This magazine had an acceptance rate of 2%, so I knew I needed to make a splash - writing a story that was bold, vibrant and had a New Zealand feel to it.
— The Result
My piece was one of the few to make it into Folly's pages that year. Following the publication of my short story in 2023, I was invited to join the editorial team, which I have been a part of for the past two years.
